“Oranges and Lemons says the bells of St Clements”
Inspired by the classic English nursery rhyme, this cake is an homage to all things citrus.
A super soft and lemon-scented buttermilk sponge is doused in a sticky lemon syrup until perfectly saturated. Each slice is then topped with a swirl of velvety orange-infused cream cheese frosting and hand-finished with a candied orange segment and a sprinkle of dried rose petals.
This is a perfectly balanced slice, creamy, sweet, and citrusy tangy. An ode to lemon-lovers everywhere!
