In partnership with The Grand Appeal, we held a 'Design Your Own Cake' competition for the wonderful patients at The Bristol Children's Hospital. With so many fantastic, colourful and imaginative entries, the decision was tough - but Eva's creativity & thoughtful flavour combination won us over!
If the colour pink had a flavour, this would be it! Dreamed up by Eva and baked by us, we've kicked this deliciously pink cake off with a super moist buttermilk vanilla sponge and topped it with a two-toned strawberry-flavoured frosting which is then hand-piped into a gorgeous lattice design and finished with a ruffled border. Each perfectly pink slice is decorated with brownie chunks, freeze-dried strawberries, mini marshmallows and a flourish of pink and white sprinkles.
