This beautifully rustic creation is baked baseless in a paper collar, creating gorgeous rippled cracks around the edge whilst being finished slightly burnt for a deliciously caramelised flavour. Unlike your regular wholesale cheesecakes, this comes pre-sliced and is happy to be on display at room temperature. Just make sure you keep any defrosted slices in the fridge overnight.
Basque cheesecake is typically served plain and is delicious that way, but fruit compotes, chocolate sauce or fresh fruit on top is also fantastic!
