With May looming ever closer on the horizon, we’re getting ready for not one but two bank holidays! Soaring temps are forecasted, which means you’re going to be busy, so we’re here to make sure you get your cake before the break.
As always, we highly recommend placing your orders ahead of time for delivery before the bank holiday weekend!
P.S Don’t forget to download and use the DPD App!

We strongly advise that your pre-bank holiday orders are delivered on Friday May 1st/22nd to avoid risk of any delays*.
*DPD delays, although rare, do happen from time to time, so we highly recommend ordering as early as possible to avoid any potential disappointment.
Festival Deliveries
We know festivals are big business, and we love seeing our bakes make it to some of the biggest and best festival sites across the UK!
As you start gearing up for this year's season, we thought we’d just give you a quick reminder on how to ensure your cake order makes it to the headline slot on your counter, ready for the hordes of hungry festival goers.
Order Ahead Of Time
Always order ahead of time for any important event, especially festivals! This just ensures our customer support team are able to help you with any queries about your delivery. Luckily for you, we have the very handy option to place orders up to two weeks in advance, making it easier for you to plan everything you need for your festival.
Deliver To A Safe Location
We kindly ask that you avoid having any cake orders delivered directly to the festival site. Although some festivals have dedicated delivery points, we cannot guarantee DPD will be able to deliver to these. So, to avoid any disappointment or lost/stolen deliveries, please have your Cakesmiths order delivered to your preferred safe location (home, office, local post office, etc.) and transport the order to the festival site yourself.
Use the DPD App
We love the DPD App, it’s such a handy tool for tracking any orders, especially your very precious festival stock!
It’s super simple to use, just download the app to your phone, set up your account with your Cakesmiths account details (very important!), enter your tracking information, which will be generated from 24 hours in advance, and you’ll be able to track your delivery, so you know exactly when to expect your order.

Need A Big Order?
If you’re planning to order a very large quantity of cake, please pop our wonderful customer support team an email on Support@cakesmiths.com, and they will be able to give you a hand with the logistics.

What To Stock
We’ve hosted and attended our fair share of events (from outdoor festivals to indoor tradeshows), and we know a thing or two about what you should and shouldn’t be stocking.
For festivals in particular, we know our Cinnamon Buns and Almond Croissants go down an absolute storm, both are Plant-Based, meaning more customers will be able to enjoy them.
Always prioritise Grab & Go, cookies, brownies and flapjacks are the perfect quick-to-serve counter win, easy to transport from A to B, hold up in any weather and can be scoffed whilst dancing to your favourite tunes.
If you’re planning to serve cakes and display them on your counter, we always recommend using parchment paper. Simply take the parchment, wrap it around your slice, and you’re good to go. This locks in all that delicious moisture (no dry slices on our watch) and makes serving an absolute breeze!
Did you know we also sell takeaway cake boxes! Our 3 slice boxes do exactly what they say on the tin, you can easily fit 3 slices of traycake into them, but we’ve been known to squeeze a fair few more into them…
