Banana & Chocolate Loaf Pre-Sliced

Banana bread, but make it a bit more interesting. We've baked a warm, golden loaf packed with proper banana flavour and studded it all the way through with small discs of dark chocolate. On top, more chocolate and a glossy jam glaze that catches the light.

It smells of ripe banana with dark chocolate coming through underneath, and it tastes just as good as it smells: rich banana up front, a note of brown sugar, pockets of dark chocolate throughout, and a little apricot sweetness from the glaze.

The loaf itself is moist and soft, with real bite from the chocolate pieces and a slightly sticky, glazed top. Cut it into thick slices and it more than earns its place on the counter, next to the morning coffee it was made for.
