We’re making a small but important update to our Cinnamon Buns.
The sourdough starter we use in the dough has changed and will soon contain BARLEY, which is a declared allergen. This means that going forward, our Cinnamon Buns will contain barley.
We expect to begin delivering the new recipe from the week commencing 25th August.
We’re sharing this in advance so you can prepare this information to be visible for your customers:
All new buns made with the updated starter will come with an updated product card clearly listing barley as an allergen. Please make sure to update the cards you display on your counter.
If you use printed menus or show allergen info online, please update your materials to reflect the presence of barley in our Cinnamon Buns.
Start over-declaring barley now, even if you haven’t yet received the new batch – just to be safe. This avoids any risk during the transition period.
We have updated our Allergens Matrix to reflect the change.
And the taste? Rest assured, our team has thoroughly tested the new dough, and the buns will look and taste just as good as ever.
