Burnt Basque Cheesecake

Light, creamy, and burnt to perfection - the Spanish born Burnt Basque Cheesecake is having a moment on the cake scene, so we thought why not whip up a Cakesmiths version!

This beautifully rustic creation is baked baseless in its parchment paper, creating gorgeous rippled cracks around the edge whilst being finished slightly burnt for a delicious caramelised flavour. Unlike your regular cheesecakes, this guy is happy to be on display at room temperature. Just make sure you keep it covered in the fridge overnight.

Basque cheesecake is typically served plain and is delicious that way, but fruit compotes, chocolate sauce or fresh fruit on top is also fantastic!
