I write as I feel you trust us to do the correct job for you regarding not only the product we supply but also at a price that makes you competitive and profitable in the market.
With regret, we must inform you of our first price rise since September 2017. As of January 1 st, the majority of products will rise by an average £0.25 per tray adding between 1-2p per slice. Those products that sit in ranges that have launched in the past year, namely Cookies and Deliciously Rich will remain unchanged as we priced this rise in at the time of launch.
I will pull up short of saying sympathise but I’m sure you will be only too familiar with the explanation for this rise. In an ever-shrinking labour market, we are having to pay and incentivise our workforce more, firstly to attract and then to keep our skilled staff. We are proud to pay above minimum wage believing that a happy baker is the No1 key ingredient in the mix, I’m sure you agree this shows in the consistency of our handmade products.
We continue to buy well and have managed to balance much higher chocolate, flour, sugar and courier costs with softening butter prices, excuse the baker pun! As ever we will continue to work hard to provide high quality, natural, interesting and competitive products for you and your customers.
