The Year of the Sticky Bun
What a year it's been! With the ups and downs of national lockdowns and changing restrictions, it's been amazing to watch so many of you respond and adapt, and in many cases come out even stronger.
We're not sure exactly what 2022 will look like, but we're thrilled to be heading into it as your trusty partner in cake, bakes and buns!
For Cakesmiths, 2021 was the year of the sticky bun. From Classic Cinnamon to Sticky Stollen, your customers have gone certified bun mad!
This year also saw the opening of our flagship coffee shop Bakehouse and the growth of our talented Cake Lab team - who launched a whopping 44 delicious new cakes and bakes this year.
The cherry on top was of course having all eight cakes we submitted win a Great Taste Award, we couldn't be prouder of our amazing team of makers and bakers - what an achievement.
What can you expect in 2022?
We've of course got some delicious new products in the works and we can't wait to introduce you to them! We'll be kicking things off in January with a very sophisticated Almond, Pear and Chocolate Torte which we know you and your customers will love.
We've also got some exciting new brands joining The Pantry, including Unrooted Supershots - perfect for anyone on a new year health kick.
January will also see the launch of Small Batch Bakes! A super exciting range of limited edition bakes, straight from the crazy-talented hands of our new Cake Lab team, but we'll tell you more about that in the New Year.
There's a lot to look forward to, but for now, we'd like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year, from everyone at Cakesmiths.
